"Caribou Honour" by Shirley Bear
Picture
Caribou Club remembers a land that can hold mokalipuwok (caribou) and calls on all people to protect and honour that connection. We are a land-based educational site founded by Wolastoqewi artists and entrepreneurs in the unceded and unsurrendered Eqpahak district of Wolastokuk. We specialize in teaching people how to go to Nkihtahkmikomən (our land) and in building understanding about the original treaties and about land-based sharing and living. We offer natural retreat accomodations, traditional arts workshops, artist talks, and knowledge-sharing experiences (both online and in person). We invite you to reach out to us directly to discuss your organization's needs and the ways in which we might support one another.
